It’s a CLAPTRAP New Year!
Welcome to 2024! We are definitely starting the New Year out right by FINALLY reaching the end of a three year journey. Tomorrow morning I am renting a truck and going to a local loading dock where the bulk shipment of fellow MAD man Desmond Devlin and my hardcover book of movie parodies CLAPTRAP is being delivered. Frustratingly, it took our printer 15 weeks to get these books to us, but they are finally arriving and shipping will begin tomorrow. Des is flying into Minnesota later in the week and we’ll be doing the signed copies then, but all orders should be on the way by Saturday. With about 900 of them to ship, that will be a lot of packing and labelling and runs to the Post Office all week.
I can’t tell you how great it will feel to finally have this book on its way to readers. I hope those who get a copy love reading it as much as Des and I loved producing it, even if it was a ridiculous amount of work and time.

Tom, I’m sure that all of us know that you guys did a great job and I’d bet we can’t wait to see it, but then isn’t that stupid, of course, we have to wait. The race was long, but the finish line is in view. Congrats! How about a short video at the book signing?
Very happy to see that one of my choices, Parasite, found its way into the book. Thank you Tom and Desmond for all your hard work and updates, looks like 2024 will be off to a great start, can’t wait to see the finished product!

Oh.. so this was a one page spoof of Parasite. I haven’t seen the film. It’s nice to see some pages ahead of receiving the book, but please.. no more previews. I really want to experience seeing the rest of the book for the first time. Tom, I wish you a vey happy New Year and look forward to seeing a video of you and Desmond signing books and packing them, as well. I’m so glad the 3 year wait has ended.
