Looking to be done by the end of the month. MAD– Just finished a two page feature for #547 (rare issue without a movie or TV parody for me) but already have the script for a TV show parody for issue #548 Corporate caricatures– I’ve got a new gig doing caricatures of executives/employees for a big tech company. Have three of them in the works right… READ MORE

I know I say I am busy a lot but I have to tell you I may never have had as much work due as quickly as it needs to be done on the board at one time as I have right now: GQ Magazine Illustration– Actually I put this to bed late last week, April Issue MAD Parody– a NINE PAGE movie parody for MAD #539. That matches the longest I’ve ever done, which was “Harry Plodder and the Lamest of Sequels” back in 2002. Starting the inks today. Another piece for MAD 539– Last second assignment. Super secret. Thanks to sudden death in the family that took up a lot of my time in October I just spent the last two weeks digging myself out from under a pile of several freelance jobs, so actually the drawing board is a bit light at the moment. Here’s what I finished up since the beginning of the month: Two (count ’em… TWO) jobs for the upcoming MAD #537, both different from my usual work. A Marlin Co. illustration (pictured above) A couple of smaller projects that had been put off for way too long What I’m working on now: Another Marlin illustration “Z-People” comic book… READ MORE

The old drawing board is crazy right now, mainly because I am furiously trying to finish the “Z-People” comic book that is now ridiculously overdue. Lesson learned: do not accept a large job with the understanding you will “work on it in between jobs”. There is no “in between jobs”… ever. I’ve had to start turning down other work to get this thing finished, and should have started doing that months ago. However there are some longtime clients I can’t turn away, since I need them to be there after this comic is done. So, here’s what I have going right now: Z People Comic–… READ MORE

The old drawing board is actually close to being reasonably caught up for a change. I just finished several big projects in the last week or so: MAD Movie Parody– This was not for the magazine but for a special project that I don’t think I can announce yet. It may end up in the magazine eventually or for sure in some collection or bookazine, but for now it’s going to be available for this limited item. BTW, this parody contains the most insane two page spread I’ve ever done for MAD. Took me four full days to do these two pages. Jeff Dunham Illustrations–… READ MORE

Clicky to Embiggen… Well, nothing is in front of me since I am currently on my way to the Caribbean for a well-deserved vacation, but there’s plenty on the old drawing board awaiting my return: MAD 20 piece– 1 pager.
