Do We Amuse you?
February 2nd, 2021 | Posted in News
You think we’re funy? Funny how, exactly? Don’t make us borrow another one of mom’s kitchen utensils!
As promised, here’s the full image of the opening splash from Desmond Devlin and my spoof of the classic gangster movie “Goodfellas” (you can find a larger version exclusively on Bleedingcool.com). There’s more of this to come, long with 11 other parodies of movies MAD never got around to doing in our upcoming book CLAPTRAP. If you haven’t already pre-ordered you copy, you can do that in our Indiegogo Indemand store!

Carrie? Sissy Spacek in the background … love it!
Yes, that’s Des’s gag. He suggested a few other famous cinematic moments where strong red lighting was part of their visual hallmark, but given the scene and the room I had only “Carrie” made it in. It’s a very non-sequitur type gag, but she fits in nicely both visually and given the bloody scene as well.
