Now that the craziness that was the CLAPTRAP crowdfunding campaign is done, I’m finally able to devote some real time to the drawing board. I’ve of course been at work on CLAPTRAP, but I’ve also been slowly chipping away at a huge list of NYCC “Virtual Artist’s Alley” commissions from last month. Here’s a smattering of some of the “live style” caricatures I have done. CLAPTRAP Now on Indemand!

That’s a wrap! The “funding” portion of Des and my crowdfunding campaign has ended, and our Indiegogo page has moved into the “Indemand” phase. This will last until the book ships next year. Indemand is basically just an online store where you can pre-order a copy of the book. Most of the previous perks that were available have now gone, having been available only during the “funding” part of the campaign, and helped us reach our initial goal and all the stretch goals. Today is the final day of our campaign, and Des and I have our over 600 awesome backers to thank for not just reaching our initial goal, but all our stretch goals! YOU DID IT! 12 Parodies!

Thanks to the incredible support of our backers, CLAPTRAP‘s 5th and final stretch goal just got unlocked! There will now be TWELVE FULL MOVIE PARODIES in the book, which if you include the six movie poster spoofs from our previous stretch goal and other surprises, will probably push the book close to or over 100 pages!! THANK YOU ALL! WOW… What’s next? The “funding’ portion of the campaign ends at midnight PST tomorrow, and the book project’s Indiegogo page moves into the “Indemand” phase. We’ve only got FOUR MORE DAYS to go on Desmond Devlin and my Indiegogo campaign for CLAPTRAP, our book of MAD style movie parodies. Here’s another example of the kind of sketches I’m going to be doing in the book for those who contribute at the “Schmendrick” level and up (Yes, we’re doing a spoof of fan favorite and universally acclaimed (yet never spoofed in MAD) movie “Blade Runner”.)
