It’s coming down to the wire! Only three days to go on our campaign! It’s time to offer something new, different, exclusive, a great value, a little nauseating, and for a very limited time. We’ve just added a new, stand-alone perk to the CLAPTRAP campaign! The “Rube” perk features a complete set of all five of my exclusive comic-con mini-prints: Clint Eastwood James Bond Adam West as Batman Alfred as the Joker from Tom’s cover of Batman-Superman #10 “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood” TV Guide cover, as seen in the movie! These 6″x 9″ (TV Guide is 6″ x 8″) cardstock miniprints have previously only ever been available at Tom’s… READ MORE

We’ve only got FOUR MORE DAYS to go on Desmond Devlin and my Indiegogo campaign for CLAPTRAP, our book of MAD style movie parodies. Here’s another example of the kind of sketches I’m going to be doing in the book for those who contribute at the “Schmendrick” level and up (Yes, we’re doing a spoof of fan favorite and universally acclaimed (yet never spoofed in MAD) movie “Blade Runner”.) Again, these will not be ten minute scribbles but “Sketch o’the Week” level drawings I spend some time on. I’m limiting the number of “Schmendrick” sketches I’ll be doing to 100, which INCLUDES all the ones… READ MORE

Desmond and I revealed another sneak peek from our upcoming book of movie parodies CLAPTRAP on the campaign page today, and the subject is the 1960 Alfred Hitchcock horror classic “Psycho”! There’s plenty more of this parody to come after this splash page… but you’ll have to buy our book to read it!! This one was our second (and final) “Megalomaniac” backer choice. Backers at the Megalomaniac level got to choose a movie for us to spoof, get drawn into the parody and they get all the original art, plus our undying gratitude. You can read all about who our second Megalomaniac is and why… READ MORE

MAD writer Desmond Devlin and my crowdfunded book project CLAPTRAP is in its stretch run… only 14 days left until the end of the campaign! We’ve blown away the initial goal and our first two stretch goals, and are inching toward our final stretch goal which is a big one: we add an 11th parody to the book! That’s 10% more content, more laughs for your bucks, and about 3-4 weeks more work for Des and I. Unfortunately our momentum has slowed way down… it’s currently moving about as fast as Pennsylvania counts ballots. Yesterday was the first day of the campaign where we had… READ MORE

These sold out pretty quickly yesterday. Thanks to all those who jumped on board! Sorry to anyone who wanted one but didn’t get one of the 15 spots. I absolutely can’t do anymore than 15 as I have a book to do! READ MORE

I’ve done this now the last two years and it worked out pretty well (although I started offering them a little too close to the holidays last time, thus the earlier announcement), so I thought I’d give it another go this year. This year I’m again making 15 of these personal caricature commissions available just for the holidays. I’m doing them on 11″ x 14″ bristol, in brush and various pens, colored with Copic markers and a touch of colored pencil, plus maybe some painted highlights. I can do them of you, or of your friend, family member, neighbor, barber, plumber, or some celebrity/famous person (assuming your… READ MORE
