Sketch o’the Week- Guitar Gods!

Sorry for the bad photo, I had no access to a scanner so I had to take a pic of this with my phone and it’s a bit shiny in some of the darks near the top.
I’m currently in Vienna at the Eurocature Caricature Art Festival… in fact I am speaking today. In addition to many different events and presentations, those attending are invited to do a piece in the medium of their choice based on any one of three suggested topics. The topic I chose was “Art World Legends”. This is what I came up with. Brush pen and Copic markers with a touch of colored pencil on 11×17 bristol.
I’ll post soon about my experience at Eurocature. The short version is it was terrific.

Well done Tom ! To be honest, I like this ‘hard copy’ artwork more than digital computer generated artwork. It has that unique Tom Richmond feeling ! Does it take you much longer to this, or not really ?
Thanks! About the same amount of time, really. Might be a little quicker working digitally.
Just wonderful , the art has a lot of personality and warmth .
