SO CLOSE!!!

When Desmond and I announced the last two stretch goals for CLAPTRAP, we knew it was a really long shot we’d be able to make it to $64,000 by the end of the campaign. In fact, we figured it was impossible. We had a long way to go, not a lot of time to get there, and all the really big ticket perks were sold out. But “go big or go home” as they say. We threw those last two goals out there with no real hope for that “add a twelfth parody goal” to be reached. Well…

As of this posting, WE ARE ONLY $777 SHORT OF UNLOCKING THE 12TH PARODY STRETCH GOAL!!! That’s only 31 copies of the book at the “Clod” level, or 10 “Dolts”, which are copies that are besmirched by Des and my signatures, or… well you get the idea. There are still a lot of perk options to choose from. It is unbelievable that we have come to the doorstep of our last stretch goal. Let’s hope we get there! WE really want to do that twelfth movie spoof for you!

Our campaign for CLAPTRAP has only a little over 40 hours to go! At 11:59 Pacific Time tomorrow night, the campaign officially ends. Des and I are blown away by the amount of support and enthusiasm we’ve seen for our project. It makes us even more excited than we were before to make CLAPTRAP as good as we can make it! If we can get over the top of that last goal, this book will contain a full twelve movie parodies, and the twelfth one is another that YOU will get to choose!

Believe it or not, Des and I have not been sitting around doing non-stop promotion for the campaign. Well, I mean we HAVE been doing non-stop promotion for the campaign, but we have also been at work on the book itself. Des has delivered the full scripts for two parodies already and has several more at various stages of completion. I have already finished the splash pages for three of our parodies, and am almost done with the story pages on one with the other script in the works as well. I’ve also got the nuts and bolts of the book design done and multiple page layouts complete. There’s a LOT of work still to do, but a fair amount has been done already.
