New Workshop & Online “Experience”

October 5th, 2021 | Posted in News

Some news on the workshop front! Due to the continued unknowns of the pandemic, and because I was trying to concentrate my efforts on putting together my online video workshop, I have not scheduled any in-person workshops since 2020 (although I did a few makeup ones in 2021). Frankly after the nightmare that was 2020 and all the cancellations, postponements and re-postponements I was not planning on doing any or very few live workshops anymore, and that is still more or less the plan. However friend and fellow caricaturist Thomas Counts has been after me to do a workshop in his newly built private art… READ MORE

NYCC… In One Week!

September 30th, 2021 | Posted in News

One week from today, it’s the return of in-person comic cons with New York Comic Con, which runs from Oct 7th-10th! The Lovely Anna and I will be manning a booth in Artist’s Alley for the first time since Feb 2020, when we appeared at C2E2 in Chicago and COVID-19 was just beginning to rear its ugly head. We are looking forward to doing a live show again! If you can’t make it to NYCC, never fear. This year I’ll also be conducting a simultaneous “Virtual Artist’s Alley” booth here on my website. Starting at 10 am on October 7th and ending at 5 pm… READ MORE

The NCS Reuben awards are intertwined into the festival, so those honors will be bestowed including THE Reuben Award for “Outstanding Cartoonist of the Year”. So, mark your calendars but don’t worry about wearing any formalwear… or… READ MORE

Sketch o’the Week Vol 4!

September 21st, 2021 | Posted in News

In just a couple of weeks I’ll be at New York Comic Con, which will mark the first major comic con I’ve appeared at since C2E2 back in Feb of 2020, when the world was so naive and COVID-19 was something we’d just started hearing rumbles about. Well, in celebration of being back at in-person cons, I’m releasing a new book Sketch o’the Week, Vol 4! Like the previous three volumes, this one is chock full of sketches and other works from the last 16 months or so (100 caricatures, in fact). I’m placing it in the Studio Store for preordering if anyone is interested.… READ MORE

Comic Cons 2021?

April 23rd, 2021 | Posted in News

A few comic book conventions are tentatively peeking their heads out of the foxhole and making plans to take place in person in 2021. ReedPop, the company that puts on several big conventions, just opened Artist’s Alley applications to creators for their shows in 2021. I just applied for both New York Comic Con in October and C2E2 in Chicago in December. I will not be able to do the San Diego Comic Con “Special Edition” in November or Emerald City Comic Con in December. I think it’s pretty certain these events will take place, but what they look like compared to previous years is… READ MORE
