The Lovely Anna and I are headed to London UK next month just for fun, and circumstances have recently changed (more on that later) that makes it possible to spend an extra couple of days beyond our original return date. So, I thought, how about doing one of my caricature workshops? I have tentative arrangements with a hotel right by Heathrow, and would stage the workshop over two days: Saturday Dec 3rd from 10-8 and Sunday Dec 4th from 9-5. My caricature workshop in Orlando is officially sold out. However, like I did here in Minnesota, if I get enough people who express and interest in wanting to attend I will try and book the same hotel for either the weekend before or after and do a second one. That would either be the weekend of January 13th-15th or the 27th-29th, both are a Friday through Sunday. If anyone is interested please Email Me and let me know. My Orlando Florida caricature workshop is a go! Deposits are being accepted now on the Workshop page. Every year the folks at New York Comic Con put on an auction of original comic art to benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. This year they have their usual stellar lineup of art from over 100 different creators. You can visit their auction page to see much of the art that will be auctioned off, and for more info. I donated the piece above, one of the pages from MAD‘s parody of “Man of Steel” from issue #524. I just got the big shipment of final printed copies of my Sketch o’the Week, Vol. 1 book in yesterday. The print job looks good! I have added the book to the Studio Store, but it’s unofficially a “preorder” right now. I still want to wait for the first copies to be sold at New York Comic Con next week, and I am crazy busy right now trying to get my studio work done before I head to NYC next week so I don’t have time to sign and ship copies anyway. A week or so ago I hinted about something new I would be debuting at New York Comic Con, but I needed to wait until I got the proof to be sure it was going to turn out. Well, I got that proof yesterday and everything is a “go” for my first sketchbook collection Sketch o’the Week (and other stuff) Vol. 1!
