We had a lot of old school subjects for our warmups last weekend. Here’s one of 60/70’s music icon Joni Mitchell. Funny, I spend some time at each workshop teaching people that cheekbones are usually much higher on the face than most people draw them, and then they pick a subject for a warm-up who has unusually low (and big) cheekbones. I try really hard when I do a comic-con to only do commissions while there, and not ahead of time or take them home and ship them later. This is for two reasons. First, it makes this kind of thing unique in that you can only get one these from me at a comic con, and it’s (mostly) the only time I work in brush pen and Copic markers.
