Workshop Warmups- Denver!

Here’s a couple of the warmup drawings I did along with the class at my workshop this past weekend in Denver, CO. As always the class suggests the subject and I find and image online to work from, then we all spend 15 minutes or so doing a quick caricature of them. I currently have one spot open for my December 6-8th workshop in Orlando, and space in my newly announced workshops in New Orleans (Jan 24-25) and Las Vegas (Feb 8-9). READ MORE

I’ve got another piece in the newest issue of Viz Comic (#289), which just came out in the UK. Here’s a few of the panels from the two page feature: Please don’t ask why Bruce Willis and Demi Moore are back to being married, or why they are suddenly British and living in the Manchester area of England in a dumpy apartment flat. I don’t know, but it’s damn funny. Whaddya mean you want to read the whole story? What do you think this is, a furshlugginer bloody library? NCS Popeye Art Auction Underway!

The fundraiser auction featuring Popeye tribute art done for the exhibition at the National Cartoonists Society’s NCSFest is underway, proceeds to benefit the NCS Foundation. My piece above is part of the auction. This was done with real, live watercolor and ink on illustration board. The NCS Foundation does some great work with the Jay Kennedy Memorial Scholarship, the Cartooning for Kids program where cartoonists visit children’s hospitals and draw for patients and their families, and the Milt Gross Fund which provides financial assistance to cartoonists in times of hardship. There is a lot of awesome art in this auction by some big time cartoonists.… READ MORE
