Website 3.0!

June 13th, 2015 | Posted in News

The new website is finally up and running (sort of)! There are a number of things that need fixing, and the Studio Store is completely offline for the moment, but the new design and layout is in place and running smoothly (more or less).

So what’s new? Well, this is a much sleeker and less cluttered website, and infinitely more mobile-friendly. It changes dynamically with the device you are using, so on a smartphone you have a different layout and drop down menu functions than you have on a tablet or a desktop. Overall the site should load and run much faster, and be a lot easier to navigate on any device. There is also some cool animation going on in the roll-up headers and the repeating side borders are fun.

What’s gone? A lot of the bloat and excess from the old site. I’m going to limit the number of images in each art/portfolio gallery to 36 max, so some of the really old work that used to be in the “MAD Art” gallery is gone. The only real casualty from the old site is the “Me Gallery”, which was a collection of caricatures of me by other artists going back about 17 years. Sorry to all, but that was getting too unwieldy to deal with.

Eventually the Studio Store will be back up and running, and one of the cool things will be the immediate availability of my latest “Sketch o’the Week” for purchase as soon as it’s posted. Of course the prints, books, and other stuff will be there as well. The blog will continue on as usual.

Hope you like the new site!

You can order my book from the Studio Store. It’s a little wonky right now but functional.
