Tom’s Daily Coronacature: Irrfan Khan!

Here’s my caricature of the late Irrfan Khan.

I haven’t had occasion to draw many Bollywood stars. Only a few of the actors from the Hindi film industry have also established careers in english-speaking films, but Irrfan Khan is one of them.

I have done one “Bollywood” related piece of MAD art… sort of. Back in 2016 I was a guest at a comic con in New Delhi, India. The convention organizers asked me to do a piece of art for a print for the con… something I could sign that would appeal to local comic-con attendees. After asking a couple of friends familiar with Bollywood sci-fi/action films I did this:

It’s an imaginary MAD cover featuring Alfred as the title character from the Bollywood film “Enthiran” (“Robot” in English) starring a well-known and loved actor in India, Rajinikanth. If you’ve never seen the movie “Enthiran”, it will blow your mind.
