Open Spots for Rescheduled NYC Workshop!

The class illustration for our postponed NYC workshop

I’m not sure if you are aware of this, but some things happened in 2020 that forced me to cancel or postpone a bunch of my in-person caricature workshops. It’s a long story but last May this motley crew seen above was SUPPOSED to spend the weekend drawing together in Long Island City, NY. We had to postpone the workshop and then tried to reschedule it for August, optimistically thinking the pandemic would be under control by then. Well… it wasn’t. I was able to squeeze in a couple of workshops in Detroit and Chicago during the short-lived downtick in the pandemic this past late summer and early fall, but the NYC one was a no go because of travel quarantines and other rules in place in New York. It was the only one I didn’t either get in or cancelled completely.

However, I recently rebooked this workshop for June 19th-20th, so we are back on! If people get their vaccinations and keep playing it smart with masks, hand washing, and social distancing we could well have most of this behind us by the mid-summer. At worst I think a gathering of 13 people will be able to happen by the second half of June even if we still have a number of restrictions in place.

Not everyone was able to take the workshop with the new dates, so I have a few open spots available. I am NOT scheduling any new in-person workshops right now, as I am still working on my virtual version of the class. So, this may be your last chance to do a real, live, in-person caricature workshop with me for a long time. In fact, once the virtual one finally gets up and running, my in-person workshops might never return.

Anyway, grab your spot while you can.
