Spot Open in Dallas Workshop!

January 12th, 2018 | Posted in News

I just had a spot open up in the previously sold out workshop in Dallas on March 9-11th. This has been an odd one. I usually have one, maybe two people drop out (especially when the deadline for payment of the balance of tuition comes nigh) but I have had an unusual number back out for the Dallas workshop. I have burned through my waitlist and now have a spot open and no one waiting on it. So, good news for anyone who wants to get in on the class! Claim that last spot here! READ MORE

January 3rd, 2018 | Posted in News

I just sold the last artist proof of my “Bats in the Belfry” print. That’s it. All gone. Never to be reprinted. Just FYI, the next one to go will probably be my Sherlock Holmes limited edition print “The Game’s Afoot”, which has only 53 of 450 remaining. READ MORE

Workshop availability update: Both the London and Dallas workshops are sold out! If you missed out you can be added to the waitlist of any sold out workshop by emailing me and letting me know which one you are interested in. I keep a waitlist request queue and in the event someone backs out I offer that spot to the first person on the list. Still Time for Studio Store Holiday Gifts…

December 15th, 2017 | Posted in News

… but it’s running out. All orders placed by Sunday ship Monday, and I’ll try to keep up with shipping as the week progresses, but shipping times get dicey the week before the holidays. On the workshop front, I’ll have some news next week about more upcoming locations and dates, but right now I have only ONE SPOT remaining in the Toronto and Dallas workshops, and only TWO SPOTS left for the London workshop. So don’t wait any longer if you are thinking about going, or want to get a spot for someone for a Christmas gift. READ MORE

Here they are! The book will be released next month. Check out the Sitcomics page for more details. READ MORE

A Worthy Kickstarter

December 5th, 2017 | Posted in News

As a rule I do not promote crowd sourcing projects just because 1) there are way too many of them 2) if I promote one I get inundated with requests to promote others, and that’s not what this blog is about. I stopped promoting Kickstarters about 5 years ago. That said, I’m breaking my own rule and promoting a Kickstarter project from my pal and fellow Minnesota cartoonist/illustrator Cedric Hohnstadt. It’s for a book called “Mostly Nonsense”, and is a collection of gag cartoons he has done via his web comic site Sketchbook Silliness. The book contains over 100 cartoons ranging from clever to silly… READ MORE

Order Your Studio Store Gifts ASAP!

December 5th, 2017 | Posted in News

Just a FYI to all those who are thinking about ordering one of my limited edition prints, signed books, sketches or original art as a gift for someone this holiday season: I’ll be out of town from Dec 9-16th and unable to ship anything out during that time. Anything ordered before Dec 9th will be shipped out prior to my leaving, and anything on or after Dec 9th won’t go out until Mon Dec 18th. That’s cutting it close with the USPS’s usual holiday shipping chaos. So, if you want something from the Studio Store, I’d get the order in by Friday.   READ MORE

Keep Up With Our Mailing List!

November 25th, 2017 | Posted in News

It seems like right after I do a workshop somewhere and post a wrap up about it, I get a bunch of people emailing me or commenting that they didn’t know it was happening and they wished they would have so they could have participated. I am not sure how to fix that, since I announce them as they get booked here and across all my social media accounts, periodically do a “still available” post if they have not sold out, and have a big banner on the right of my blogroll that links to the workshop page. I don’t know what else to do… READ MORE
