My recently announced workshop in San Francisco and the super small one here in Minnesota are sold out. However, as with any of my sold out workshops, you can always contact us to get added to the waitlist (make sure you specify which workshop you are interested in). I sometimes get one or two people who back out for various reasons, and I then offer their spot to those on the waitlist in the order in which they put in their request. There is NO COST to be on the waitlist, and no obligation to accept a spot if one is offered. This means there… READ MORE
I’m in Vienna, Austria to speak at the 7th annual Eurocature Caricature Festival. I’ve never been to Vienna, and despite a nightmare travel day (get your $#!t together, Delta/KLM) I’m already enjoying this beautiful city. I put in about 6 miles this morning visiting the Stephanplatz and surrounding area. I’ll post about the Eurocature Festival as things go along. Prost! READ MORE
Announcing my final workshop location of 2019: San Francisco, CA taking place Nov 15-17th! This workshop is happening at the new location of the Cartoon Art Museum, located in the world famous Fisherman’s Wharf area just one block from Aquatic Park, the Maritime Museum, Ghirardelli Square, and the Hyde Street cable car turnaround. It will be great having the workshop amid exhibits of terrific cartoon art! This is one of the most requested locations I’ve had so the twelve available spots won’t last long. Better grab one while they are available! READ MORE

The lead story is about the “Power 50”, their annual ranking of the fifty most important figures of commercial real estate finance. I only had to draw the top four (whew). You won’t recognize any of them unless you are a big fan of NYC commercial real estate finance. Full image below. READ MORE
I had a lot of fun at Wondercon, but did not do many commissions this year. Here’s a smattering of the few sketch covers I did do. READ MORE
Q: It seems you had a LOT OF fun with your latest parody “Mary Poopins” as there is in nearly every panel some (written) extra joke of yours. But why did you gave the painting of the Peacemakers a painterly look? It is quite a contrast to your normal drawings. Wouldn’t it be better to do also the painting in your normal style? And the drawing is in perspective. Did you draw it in perspective or did you draw it normal an paste it into the distorted frame later? A: Here’s the sequence in question: I used an image of the actual painting as the… READ MORE
