Comingsoon.net just posted an exclusive preview of MAD #10’s spoof of “A Handmaid’s Tale”, written by Tammy Golden with art by me. Next week I’ll be at New York Comic Con, and as I’ve been doing at conventions this year I’ll have a limited edition, exclusive print available. This oversized print (13? x 19?) of the splash page from MAD‘s parody of “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” from issue 1 is limited to only 25 prints. All are hand signed and numbered. Bloody-Disgusting.com just released an exclusive look at the cover of MAD #10, art by Jason Edmiston. That link also has a peek at Sergio Aragonés‘ “A MAD Look at Alfred Hitchcock Movies”, all a part of their October “Halloween” issue. The issue hits newsstands comes out Oct. 8th. It’s hard to believe it’s been 10 years since I did the art for this smartphone app that caused a bit of a fuss when it was released. The app was called “Bobble Rep”, and it was a simple non-partisan database that allowed you to identify your U.S. Government Representatives and Senators either via lists by state, a search by zip code or other criteria, or using your phone’s location. MAD has been busy posting sneak peeks at the upcoming issue no. 10 on their Instragram account, and today they posted a cropped part of a panel from one of the two pieces I have in this issue. The feature is called “Xander & Kam’s Night of the Living Sequels!”, and it’s a return to the short multiple film spoof format last seen in MAD No. 2.
