More 60’s Batvillains! Here is legendary film star Tallulah Bankhead as “Black Widow”. Original as always available in the Studio Store. BatFacts: Some sources credit Miss Bankhead’s appearance on “Batman” as her last actual “performance”, which could be considered true depending on your definition of “performance”. The episodes she appeared in aired in March of 1967, but she appeared on “The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour” in December of 1967 in a skit, and on “The Tonight Show” as co-interviewer of John Lennon and Paul McCartney alongside fill in host Joe Garagiola in May of 1968. She died December 12th, 1968. READ MORE

Bat Facts: This two episode story was originally intended for The Riddler, but as Frank Gorshin was refusing to play the part the writers changed it to a Puzzler story. READ MORE
Here’s another 60’s Bat-villain… John Astin filled in as “The Riddler” in season two. Original available in the Studio Store. Bat Facts: Astin’s appearance as The Riddler was supposedly due to Frank Gorshin‘s demand for a raise, although some sources claim Gorshin just didn’t want to play the part anymore. An earlier episode series in season two was originally supposed to feature The Riddler but the villain was changed to “The Puzzler” due to Gorshin’s absence. Gorshin did come back as The Riddler for a single episode in the third and final season. READ MORE
