I’ve been asked quite frequently about how my friend and fellow caricature artist Glenn Ferguson is doing with his recovery. In case you missed the story, Glenn is an award winning caricaturist and a leading artist at the caricature art concession in Universal Studios, Florida. On Jan 1st a disgruntled co-worker whose contract had been terminated the day before came back to Universal Studios property and attacked Glenn with a pair of scissors. Glenn suffered serious brain damage from the attack, and his immediate survival was in doubt. Thankfully, after over 5 hours of surgery, Glenn survived and began a long, arduous road to recovery.… READ MORE

TPT just posted the segment featuring me that will air this Sunday at 6:00 pm and 10:00 pm on the TV show “MN Original”. The YouTube version is above but you should go watch it on the MN Original website, where the video quality is really terrific. My pal, comic book superstar Doug Mahnke was profiled there a couple of years ago, and they profile Minnesota artists, actors and musicians from all walks of life on the show. I was very honored to be asked to be on the… READ MORE

I’m going to be one of the artists featured on the next episode, airing this Sunday on TCT 2 and 6:00 and 10:00 pm. They post the show online at some point after it airs, so I will post a link to that when it’s up. The video above is a teaser for the episode. I’m honored and flattered to have been asked to be a part of the show. READ MORE

Picture courtesty of Celestia Ward Yesterday’s “Glenn-efit” event at the Downtown Crown Pub in Las Vegas was a big success, raising over $1500 to benefit our good friends Glenn and JoAnn Ferguson as they begin the long road to Glenn’s recovery and rehabilitation from his injuries. I drew alongside some terrific local Las Vegas caricaturists like Doug Citizen, Andrew Taylor, Robert Sundini, and I think a few others jumped in and did a couple of drawings as well. There was also a raffle with prizes ranging from donated spa products to massages to Penn and Teller tickets to signed books, prints and originals artwork. Also… READ MORE

It’s that time of year again, the National Cartoonists Society’s annual Divisional Awards aka the “Silver Reubens” are gearing up, and they need your submissions for consideration. Each division has specific sets of eligibility criteria, but the following are universal: Must be professionally published between Dec 1, 2014 and Dec 31, 2015 Creator need not be an NCS member, but must be eligible for NCS membership (i.e. a professional cartoonist) Last year the NCS broke new ground by having it’s entire membership vote for most divisional categories online, which proved pretty time consuming considering some divisions had up to 50 entries. This year the process… READ MORE
