It’s hard to believe but I just received the shipment of the eighth printing of The Mad Art of Caricature since its release in November of 2011. That sounds more impressive than it actually is, since the largest print order I’ve ever placed was 4,000 copies. Storage with my distributor is limited so I can’t order any more than that at a time, so I’ve done many smaller runs rather than fewer big ones. With this printing (3,500 copies this time), a total of 28,000 copies of this book will exist on this planet. Placed end to end they would stretch just over 5 miles.… READ MORE

Superman and the Miserable, Horrible, No Good, Really Bad Day is officially released! Here is a picture of it in the wild, in a bookstore in Spokane: It’s available in fine (and dodgy) bookstores and comic book shops everywhere, on Amazon.com and other online retailers, and signed copies or ones with a sketch of the Man of Steel himself are available in the Studio Store. Yes, it is quite appropriate for young kids, while adults will get some of the more subtle humor as well… kind of like Sesame Street. I’m in Jolly ol’ England for the The Lakes International Comic Art Festival in Kendal, on the edge of the Lake District, Cumbria, which kicks off tomorrow! I’ll be involved in several panels and doing a “Masterclass” about caricature, as well as a couple of signings and a some time at the National Cartoonists Society booth in the Clocktower. I got home from New York Comic Con late yesterday to find several boxes of Superman and the Miserable, Rotten, No Fun, Really Bad Day awaiting me… a little late for NYCC but not for the Studio Store! I’ve just added both signed copies and signed copies with a sketch of Superman to the store, along with the “Stranger” Things cover print I debuted at NYCC. New York Comic Con opens today! You’ll find me in Artist’s Alley at table N7 hawking my usual junk including this fancy new print of my new MAD cover! It’s an 11 x 14 inch matte print on cardstock in full nauseating color, and it is debuting at NYCC! I’ll eventually have it up in the studio store as well.
