Attention European artists! One spot just opened up for my workshop in Seengen, Switzerland. My Amsterdam workshop is way sold out with a long waitlist, so if anyone in Europe is looking to take one of my workshops this year, this might be your one chance. This workshop a little unique in that it is being organized by the Cartoon-Schule, a school of cartooning in Seon, Switzerland about 45 minutes outside of Zurich. While the workshop itself will be structured like my others, the school will be handling all payments for the tuition and providing the location and other logistics. The cost is CHF 850,… READ MORE

I had the pleasure of attending the 7th annual Eurocature Festival of Caricature Art in Vienna, Austria this past week. I’ve attended a lot of cartooning and caricature events over the years and Eurocature ranks up there with the best and most enjoyable of them. It is a true celebration of the art of caricature with artists from all over the world participating. The festival is part convention with speakers and events and part competition, although the latter element is only a competition in that some of the works produced get recognized at the end. The focus is on the creative process and the joy… READ MORE

My recently announced workshop in San Francisco and the super small one here in Minnesota are sold out. However, as with any of my sold out workshops, you can always contact us to get added to the waitlist (make sure you specify which workshop you are interested in). I sometimes get one or two people who back out for various reasons, and I then offer their spot to those on the waitlist in the order in which they put in their request. There is NO COST to be on the waitlist, and no obligation to accept a spot if one is offered. This means there… READ MORE

That’s right, another comic-con. TWO WEEKENDS IN A ROW!! This is one of my favorites of the year, though. C2E2 at McCormick Place in Chicago. I’ll be in Artist’s Alley at table P-14 with my usual stack of stuff. New since last year will be copies of “Don’t let the Penguin Drive the Batmobile” and “Sketch o’the Week Vol 2”, plus my Catwoman print. Of course I’ll be doing commissions and caricatures. This is also the only comic-con I do where I bring full sized original MAD pages along. That’s because they are huge and since I drive in it makes it feasable. I’m also… READ MORE
