Last night on the Jimmy Kimmel show “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood” director Quentin Tarantino was very enthusiastic about the next issue of MAD Magazine (that part starts at the 6:35 mark). Speaking of Comic Cons, I’m going to be a special guest at Michigan Comic Con next month, and I was asked to do the art for the official convention poster. Image above. The initial idea to spoof the cover of MAD #243 with Iron Man was the convention folk’s, but I added Alfred and a couple of other gags. This poster will be available FREE to convention attendees while supplies last! Michigan Comic Con takes place at Aug 16-18th at the Cobo Center in Detroit. My 2019 workshops have all been sold out for several months now, but I just added one more in December: Orlando, Florida! My youngest daughter lives in Orlando and we have planned a trip to visit her at that time, so I figured, why not do a workshop while there? Come and see me at Atlanta Comic Con at the Georgia World Congress Center this weekend! I’ll be at table G-4 in the special guests area. What’s new for me? Well, I’m going to start having a very limited edition comic-con exclusive print that will be unique for each comic con I do. I’ll only have 20 of each of these prints, and when they are gone they are gone. They’ll be a signed and numbered oversized (13″x19″) print of one of the splash pages from a MAD parody I did. One day left in my final European workshop of 2019, here in beautiful Seengen, Switzerland!
