If you missed me yesterday on the National Cartoonists Society‘s Instagram Live feed, catch me doing something similar tomorrow, this time on the International Society of Caricature Artists‘ public Facebook page at 6 pm Eastern (5 pm Central). I’m doing the rounds of all the societies. I haven’t decided what I am going to do yet… it’ll be a caricature but maybe an ink/wash job, or watercolor. We’ll see. Anyway you’ll find them on facebook @ISCAcaricatures! READ MORE

It looks like the denizens of Planet Earth are looking at weeks, perhaps longer, of borderline house quarantine over the coronavirus pandemic. Like so many, I’ve seen my income basically grind to a halt. My theme park operations are closed, upcoming workshops all cancelled/postponed, freelance work on hold. Times are tough. I have decided to continue to offer the comic-con level commissions and items I only had available for a few days last week during my “Virtual ECCC Artist’s Alley Table” on an ongoing basis while the Coronavirus continues to keep us all at home and away from the rest of life. With money tight… READ MORE

Well, that’s a wrap! The best part is I don’t have to pack up all my crap and schelp it out of the convention center… A huge THANK YOU to all of you who stopped by my Virtual Artist’s Alley table. I thought I’d get a few commissions to draw over the weekend and maybe sell a few prints with the free shipping. Instead I will be spending all this week trying to get all the commissions I have done. If you ordered something I will be shipping things out in batches, so look for a shipping notification when it’s on the way. Thanks again,… READ MORE

With Emerald City Comic Con cancelled this weekend, I’ll be hosting a “Virtual ECCC Artist’s Alley” table here on my website today through Saturday! Whether or not you were planning a visit to ECCC, here’s a chance for anyone to get all the commissions and stuff I sell at my Artist’s Alley table, much of it EXCLUSIVE only at comic cons, at the same convention pricing with FREE SHIPPING (sorry, US only… international customers welcome but you’ll have to pay for your shipping.) Things I ONLY SELL or DO at conventions? My “live caricature” style black and white caricatures/commissions, MAD Magazine sketch cover commissions and… READ MORE

The folks at ReedPop have officially announced they are postponing Emerald City Comic Con until sometime in summer 2020. I guess my decision to back out of the show was the right one. I think this is best for all involved. Kudos to ReedPop for handling all this with professionalism and concern for everyone involved. I have a lot going on this summer so hopefully the new dates will be ones I can do. If so I’ll see you this summer, Seattle!!! READ MORE

The Lovely Anna and I have made the difficult decision NOT to attend Emerald City Comic Con next weekend due to the fallout associated with the COVID-19 issue. I’m not concerned about catching COVID-19 and frankly I think the panic over it is overblown, but I am concerned about potentially contributing to its spread to people who are at risk for serious issues if they do contract it. I’m also concerned that the panic associated with it might cause us issues getting OUT of Seattle at the end of the show, and with a special needs dependent at home we cannot risk that. All signs… READ MORE
