You get a bunch of swag when you take one of my caricature workshops, but one of the really unique things you get is to be drawn by me in the “class illustration” like the one from my January workshop in Burbank above. Everyone gets a print of the art, plus a high res digital copy. Right now I only have 4 available spots in my one remaining U.S. workshop for 2020… Indianapolis in September. The folks at ReedPop have officially announced they are postponing Emerald City Comic Con until sometime in summer 2020. I guess my decision to back out of the show was the right one. I think this is best for all involved. Kudos to ReedPop for handling all this with professionalism and concern for everyone involved. After a couple of years off I was asked to do the artwork for the National Cartoonists Society’s annual Reuben Awards Weekend again this year. The event will be in Kansas City (the one in Missouri… you know, where the Superbowl Champion Chiefs are located). The speaker lineup is ridiculous and several people are getting big awards for their contributions to the world of cartooning. I had two people abruptly back out of my Caricature Illustration workshop taking place in Eagan, MN at the end of this month, so I suddenly have two open spots!
