Previously I mentioned establishing goals when embarking on any kind of fitness program. Whether your goal is to lose weight, tone up, run marathons or get bigger and stronger, you need a plan to reach that goal. A while ago I wrote this post about an informal competition I was helping judge on the National Caricaturist’s Network forum. In brief, the participating artists were to design and illustrate a MAD Magazine cover with the subject being Sylvester Stallone‘s new movie, Rocky Balboa. The competition is over, and there were many good entries. Everybody worked hard on their pieces, and choosing a winner wasn;t easy. Another Heroes actor, fly-boy Adrian Pasdar: I’m not too sure about the ‘fall finale’ episode last night. I think the show would be better served to either tie these people together in the same story (as they are doing with psychic cop, Claire and Peter) or focus episodes on only one storyline at a time. The D.L./Micha/Jessica storyline is taking screentime and going nowhere. I get the feeling they are trying to keep too many characters in play to the detriment of them all. Here’s an interesting story from CNN about a new cartoon series Comedy Central has picked up ordered called Lil’ Bush. There are several episodes of about 5 minutes in length on YouTube, like the one linked below. Anna and I returned home from the 2002 NCS Reuben awards after having a great time as always. Held on Memorial Day weekend in Cancun, Mexico, the event that year featured a lot of laying around the pool and meeting other cartoonists, playing water-volleyball, swimming up to the sunken bar (a lot) and general fun in the sun activities.
