I said these may occasionally crop up! Winona Ryder from the vastly underrated Bram Stoker’s Dracula: Despite several very bad acting performances (can you say Keanu Reeves?) this 1992 Francis Ford Coppola film is a pretty good telling of Stoker’s tale. Gary Oldman makes a creepy and tragic Dracula, and Anthony Hopkins is terrific as Van Helsing. READ MORE

I guess I’m a sucker for book series and epics. If I was put on the spot to name some of my favorite books, I’d include J.R.R. Tolkein‘s Lord of the Rings, Frank Herbert‘s Dune books, J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter books and Robert E. Howard‘s Conan stories. It’s not like I don’t read other books and enjoy the work of many other authors, but these long tales seem to keep ending up on my night stand or playing on my iPod every few years… they are like visiting old friends or putting on a favorite pair of shoes. Here are the finals for the workplace poster and the Scholastic job. Both were pretty rushed: The basketball poster is 17 x 17 inches and the Scholastic images are spots only about 4 inches wide, as you can tell from the level of detail. I just got assigned a quick turn around job for MAD and have another TV show parody in the works. READ MORE

I just need to take a short break here to apologize for something. If you haven’t explored any more of this website beyond the blog, the link icons up above lead to lots of art and other stuff, including an area called the Me Gallery. This is my collection of caricatures drawn of myself over the years, at NCN conventions, vacations, from colleagues and peers and from people over the internet who take the time to draw me from the provided photos just for fun and to be included. The Me Gallery is a lot of fun and a great way to see how different… READ MORE
