Obama vs. Reagan Boxing Maquette

April 21st, 2011 | Posted in Freelancing

RG Entertainment and director Ray Griggs, who produced the film “I Want Your Money” (which I did some animation design work for) want your money. More accurately, they want your money in exchange for one of these limited edition maquettes made based on my design: I haven’t seen the actual statue yet, but the pictures look pretty good, I can definitely see my artwork in there. Here’s another angle: The maquette is hand painted and mounted on an actual 35MM film reel of the movie. Limited to only 250 pieces at $149.99. READ MORE

Sketch o’the Week

April 20th, 2011 | Posted in Sketch O'The Week

This week’s subject is actress Sarah Jessica Parker. She is not the classic beauty, having a very long, angular, and “horsey” sort of face. Her nose is an obvious feature to exaggerate, but I’ve always been struck by how big and square her jaw is much more than her nose. READ MORE

“Muddled Family” Sneak Peek

April 19th, 2011 | Posted in MAD Magazine

Sunday Mailbag

Q: Do you do personal commissions, and how much would you charge? A: I get this one a lot, so every few years I repost the answer because, if anything, it’s even more accurate than it used to be. I really hate my answer to this frequent question, but realistically I have no other answer to give. No, I am very sorry to all who inquire, but I had to stop doing personal commissions a long time ago. Due to a plain old lack of physical time I have to often turn down very high paying freelance publication or advertising jobs. If I accepted personal… READ MORE

I Might Need This…

The icade console for the iPad. Combined with Atari’s Greatest Hits app, which brings over 100 classic video games to the iPad, this console will mimic the joystick/button play of classic games like Asteroids, Missle Command and Centipede. Pac-Man cannot be far behind. This started out as an April Fools joke from Think Geek, and it’s now about to go on sale… just like the Tauntaun carcass sleeping bag! READ MORE
