Imagine living in a country where even the rich and powerful are held accountable for their crimes! I did this piece a few years ago for Viz Comic in the UK. Viz is a long running humor comic that appeals to people with a very British sense of humor with either superhuman eyesight or who own a powerful magnifying glass because the comic panels and type are so small you need one or the other to read it. By the way “Roland Piano RA” is a pseudonym I rarely use. In fact I have never used it. That was made up by the Viz editors,… READ MORE
I actually did this one weeks ago but because of the timeliness of the last two subjects I put off posting it. Here’s Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn. READ MORE
Music mega-star Bad Bunny aka Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio delivered an incredible Super Bowl halftime performance that was part music, part theater, and imparted a powerful message about love over hate, inclusion, and that America is and always has been a melting pot of diversity and cultures, where everyone should have the chance to pursue the American Dream. I was sad to hear of the sudden passing of Catherine O’Hara last week. She was a gift to humanity. RIP Catherine. READ MORE

I’m looking forward to seeing the film, although I am sorry that Sasha Calle, who played the character in 2023’s “The Flash” was a one-and-done as Kara Zor-El. I thought she was great in her limited time in that film, giving Kara a wounded, vengeful grittiness. That was all about the storyline of course. Seeing how they are obviously planning a totally different take on the character in the new movie, recasting her was the only call to… READ MORE
I just booked a new workshop here in Minnesota, June 27-28th in nearby Eagan! How nearby? It’s two miles from my house. My Minnesota workshops are unique in that on the Friday night before the weekend class I host students at my home for an icebreaker get together. Dinner and drinks are on me, plus a tour of the studio with a look at lots of original art (mine and many other terrific cartoonists), live demos of my ink and color techniques, and plenty of Q & A time. That makes this workshop a very unique experience compared to the others. Plus late June is… READ MORE
