Q: I know of this particular theme park caricature operation that has this policy to seat only one subject at a time when drawing a caricature with multiple people in it, thereby allowing people int he drawing to see it before it’s finished. The company’s reasoning is that while one of the guest is being drawn the other subjects(s) will draw a crowd to the caricature booth by standing and watching. I’ve been invited as a special guest at a one-day mini pop culture/comic book show called “Sound+Vision MN” on Saturday, March 12th at the Valley Creek Mall in Woodbury, MN. It’s a small show, but there is no admission cost and free parking, so it’s a real bargain! I’ve never been to the show before so I imagine there will be several vendors selling cool toys, comics, etc. I’ll have my usual comic-con setup complete with signed copies of “The Mad Art of Caricature”, a pile of MAD magazines (sold at cover price, signature free!), all of my different limited edition prints and my comic-con… READ MORE

A: You mentioned that you are still trying to improve your drawing skills. How do you to this? Let’s say you are not content with the noses you are drawing. Are you then doing some hours of exercises on noses? Or are you just paying more attention if you are drawing noses while working?
