Q: You charge only $30 for a pencil sketch caricature at your booth at comic con but they start at $150 on your website. What gives? Why can’t I email you a picture and have you do it for $30? A: I get this one sometimes after I do a convention and people who see me there then email me and ask me to do one of the con prices commissions through the mail, which I will not do. The Lovely Anna and I will be at table 0-3 in Artists Alley this weekend at the 2017 C2E2 show! The convention runs tomorrow from 10-7, Saturday 10-7 and Sunday 10-5. I’ll even have some original art pages from MAD, but I’m only bringing those to the shows I drive to… READ MORE

The publisher took a lot of liberties with the placement of the art, and made some weird choices. Especially on the cover, where they moved some of the images around ignoring the fact that… READ MORE

Here’s a peek at some of the preliminary sketches I did to work out how we were going to handle the look of Batman for Goodnight Batcave. Originally he started out more comic-bookish, and then we started working him toward a more cartoony and exaggerated form, loosely based on the “Batman- The Animated Series” look. His chin got even bigger and his upper body more exaggerated in the final roughs: READ MORE
