It seems silly to “review” something as basic as a stand for a graphics tablet, but if you use one of these you will understand how frustrating it can be to NOT have an good solution to hold said tablet at a comfortable and stable working angle. Wacom released it’s Mobilestudio Pro a little over a year ago, but they did not have a stand available for it until very recently, forcing users to find imperfect third part solutions. Q: On Monday you mentioned in your post that Dave Berg was one of “many” classic MAD artists you never got to meet. Who have you met, and who are the ones you most wish you had? A: Back when I first got started with MAD in 2000 they still had an annual holiday party at the Society of Illustrators in NYC. My second LA workshop is underway! Here’s the class illustration. I still have one spot newly opened up in my Dallas Workshop, taking place March 9-11th, only two spots left in the Chicago Workshop (April 20-22nd) and only 3 spots left in the NYC Workshop (May 4-6th). Pictured: MAD Executive Editor Bill Morrison and Art Director Suzy Hutchinson going over the pencils for my first parody with them… went better than I expected. The Lovely Anna and I dropped by the new MAD offices in Burbank while I on my west coast workshop tour. Most of the stuff from the NYC offices had just arrived and was still in boxes, but things were definitely looking MAD there. All the offices have colored glass sliding doors with DC characters and scene on them, including a few MAD ones. Here’s my annual “what kind of ________ do you use?” post, updated to 2018.
