Q: When are you going to video your workshop and/or offer an online version of your workshop? A: Probably not for a long time, if ever. I know that’s not an answer most people in the internet age want to hear, but I prefer to keep these workshops in person and of limited size. It makes them a very personal and focused sort of experience, and while it makes the expense of doing one (cost of the workshop and travel expenses if necessary) prohibitive for some, it also provides those who do it a much greater value and experience than some video series. Here are the tools I like to use in the studio: Pencils– Honestly I usually use whatever I end up grabbing from… READ MORE

I have the original MAD page you see above in the auction which was Unfortunately they do not do a very good job of explaining what this page is. It’s part of the feature “Xander and Kam’s Sneaky Previews” that was published in MAD #2, featuring a short spoof of the movie “Solo” and a quick appearance by… READ MORE

Back in late June I did a caricature workshop with 16 terrific artists in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. It was a great group, and we had a terrific weekend drawing and working together. Unfortunately the timing of the class was tough, because I was up against the print deadline for MAD #9, which included my “Once Upon a Time- Lousy Law” retro parody and the “Lion King” spoof. In fact The Lovely Anna spend the first day and a half seeing the sites of Amsterdam on her own while I was holed up in our AirBnB frantically trying to finish the last of the “Lion King”… READ MORE
