MAD just posted a cropped sneak peek of one of the pieces I did for the “20 Dumbest of 2019” on their Instagram page. “Madame Pus-sauds Anti-Vax Museum” written by Sarah Hutto. MAD #11 goes on sales somewhere on Dec 18th. READ MORE

I received several emails from readers who were outraged about my post yesterday, where I showed a 5 year old piece of variant cover art I did for the DC title Batman/Superman reprinted as the cover of the Australian MAD Magazine (with modification to the art), without my knowledge or without renumeration. I guess they expected me to be outraged as well. Most were surprised that I was far from outraged. In fact I barely shrugged. Why? Three words: Work for Hire. I was surprised to see (mostly) my art on the cover of the the latest issue of Australian MAD. This is an altered version of this variant cover I did for Batman/Superman #10, April 2014: Someone added the Joaquin Phoenix “Joker” makeup to the original art for the new cover. A: The “Captain Rochester” character (see above) is of course an exaggeration of a male comic book hero physique (although not by much by modern standards). I’m no expert but it seems to me the superhero physique of the day is a reflection of society’s… READ MORE

13th Doctor fans, rejoice!!! I have an updated version of my Doctor Who limited edition print available with a special upgrade offer for owners of the original “The Doctor Makes House Calls” LE print. Read on for the details! In 2013 I created a limited edition Doctor Who print featuring caricatures of all (at the time) eleven Doctors from the long running British Sc-Fi series. It sold out pretty quickly, which was a good thing because shortly thereafter Peter Capaldi took over as the 12th Doctor, and John Hurt appeared as “The War Doctor”. In 2016 I did a new LE print with all new… READ MORE
