Daily Coronacature: Bob Dylan!
I’m copping out again today thanks to this deadline but I’ll get back on the horse tomorrow with new drawings. In the meantime here’s an illustration I did of Bob Dylan back in 2012. READ MORE

I’m afraid I had to cop out today and post a caricature I had previously done of Billie Eilish, as I have a job on the board with a tight deadline. In fact I’ll probably have to do the same tomorrow. That’s a good problem to have right now, though. I did make some changes to this one and added some new color touches. READ MORE
Today’s “Daily Coronacature” is a quick drawing of Lin-Manuel Miranda because I am under the gun with a little project. LMM had a longe face but all the length is in his forehead and nose. He has a smaller chin/jawline. He has hush-puppy eyes with exceptionally dark, heavy eyelashes and a small mouth with a unique, pursed smile. Here’s one I did of him for MAD last year: Stay safe, everybody! READ MORE
I was remiss yesterday in not posting a Happy Birthday wish to one of the greatest caricaturists who ever touched pen to paper…the incomparable Mort Drucker. I could type a long dissertation about his impact on the world of cartooning, caricature, illustration, comics and humor. but instead I’ll just link to this story about how I ended up with that incredible caricature of me by Mort above. You’re welcome. READ MORE
Her’s my caricature of today’s subject, Octavia Spencer! Ms. Spencer has almost the exact opposite “under caricature” head shape as yesterday’s subject Jamie Lee Curtis has. Where JLC is long and narrow with close set eyes, Octavia has a squat, very wide head shape with eyes far apart, and a small, short nose. She has very heavy eyelids and a wide grin, with low cheeks and a very small chin. READ MORE
Here’s my drawing of today’s daily Coronacature subject, Jamie Lee Curtis! “Undercaricature” observations: I always start with head shape, and Jamie has a long, narrow face that looks even longer and narrower because of her equally long, slender neck. She has quite a bit of space between her mouth and her nose. Her nose is thin and short. “Surface” observations: She has a wry smile that is upturned more on one side than the other, a little suint to her eyes, and a bit of a furrowed brow. Toon in for tomorrow’s subject in the morning! READ MORE
I decided to do my Bruce Lee drawing early today, so here it is. Bruce’s face is long and lean. He’s got high cheekbones and they are small/knobby as opposed to a more rounded type. He’s got a deceptively big chin, and a small, pursed mouth. The top of his head is larger and his hairstyle makes that even more pronounced. Look for a new subject tomorrow AM! READ MORE
Here’s my caricature of today’s “Daily Coronacature” subject Idris Elba. Wishing him a speedy and full recovery from the virus. My thoughts on this one: Idris has a wide head shape, mainly because there is a lot of space between the outside corners of his eyes and the sides of his head. Ordinarily that would mean his eyes are close together, but they are not. In fact he’s got a pretty wide nose bridge and a lot of space between his eyes as well. The only way to pull that off is to make his eyes small, so you can space them out and still… READ MORE
