No sense playing coy here, so let’s get on with it. Yes, I do have a new limited edition print coming out. Following my ongoing theme of caricatures of a single fictional character portrayed by multiple actors in film and TV, the subject of this print is Batman… very appropriate considering it’s the 75th anniversary of the character this year. Like all my prints, each caricature pokes some fun at the way he (or she) is portrayed by the individual actors and the films or shows they appeared in. As promised, here’s a sneak peek at my art from the Dick DeBartolo scribed parody of “Shark Tank” in the latest issue of MAD (clicky any to embiggen…): If you are familiar with the show, it’s a reality series where hopeful entrepreneurs pitch product ideas to a panel of rich business people, who then either reject them or bid on investing in a portion of their concept. Most of the time the entrepreneurs are inventors of some process or idea, thus the scene with lots of inventors both dead and alive (mostly dead).
