Illustrated U.S. Presidents Book

October 26th, 2017 | Posted in News

The publishing house Papersalt creates “gifts to inspire, empower and educate kids and families”. They just released a kid’s book called The Presidents with interesting facts about each of the 45 Presidents of the United States, illustrated with caricatures by yours truly. You might think you recognize these caricatures as color versions of the ones featured on my no-longer-available president’s poster… and you’d be right! Papersalt bought the rights to these images for this book, and had me color them for the project. Here are some sample pages:

The book is 48 pages,  8.5″ x 5.5″ wire-o book on heavy-weight uncoated cover stock. If interested you can order a copy here. I will not have copies available for purchase on my website.

The color versions look great. This is a book that should not only be something for kids, but a good quick review of Presidential basics info for adults too. Nice overall design. I’ll have to see about getting one.

When I was little my older sister got into the National Spelling Bee, the one they put on TV and everyone watched in glorious black and white. It was in Washington and they were supposed to meet the president but had to settle for Spiro Agnew. Dad brought home “The Richard M. Nixon Coloring Book”. It was great. It had things like Nixon’s glaring face with those 1000-yard-stare eyes. “The press says my eyes are ‘shifty’ so I nailed them in place. Color them shiftless” LOL.
