BTW between that parody and the 5 page “It’s the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown 2017 Edition” feature he did with Jacob Chabot, Des wrote 12 pages in this issue!

    Am I correct saying that there is absolutely no slant in the MAD logo for issue 548? If so, is there any particular reason for it? Is this a sign of things to come?

      That does appear to be the case. I have not gotten an answer from the Powers That Be concerning this, and I expect none to be forthcoming or I would have gotten one by now.
