Just for fun, I did the clouds and shadows in that above panel using ink washes rather than digital… it gives things a more textural feel which I wanted for the stormy atmosphere. Here are the inks for that panel sans color:

What do you mean you want to read the dialogue? What does this look like… a library? You’ll have to go out and buy the fershlugginer magazine for that, clod!

Can’t wait to grab this issue. Your work on these are awesome. Love all of the subtle humorous details! Good stuff!

  2. Jack Myhervold says:

Nice to see what may be the last chance to draw Philip Seymour Hoffman in a parody, unless there is something not yet released that is parody worthy. Well done.

    • Plutarch Pup says:

Luckily, he had already filmed nearly all of his scenes for both of the upcoming Hunger Games installments. So if MAD releases the Richmond/Devlin hounds upon the threequel and the fourquel, you will see more Hoffman.

  3. Grabbing my copy as soon as it’s available… Great job!

  4. Alex Gonzalez says:

That arrow going through the hole in the plot just sold me a subscription.

    • Tom says:

My master plan is working‚Äö√Ñ√Ænow I just need to negotiate a cut of the subscription revenue…
