MAD #521 Cover
April 4th, 2013 | Posted in MAD Magazine
Yesterday Entertainment Weekly released an exclusive sneak peek at the cover of MAD #521, check it out here. As you can see, MAD will be pillaging Game of Thrones, which I did not do the art for… and also exercising their license to kill on “James Bond”, which I DID do the art for! Is it a parody of Skyfall? A spoof of all 50 years of 007 movies? Gratuitous caricatures of half naked Bond girls? You’ll have to wait for the issue to hit the stands to find out! Fa Fa Fa!

[…] I attract beautiful women and repel bullets.” (Well, I’ll know for sure soon enough; Richmond has dropped hints that his contribution to the NEXT issue will be a James Bond piece that may-or-may-not be more than […]
Tom, who´s the author of this cover?
I’m not sure what you mean. The author of the cover story, or the people you came up with the cover concept/subject? If the former, then that would be Robert Neustadt, although there are two other articles dealing with US immigration issues in that same issue, one by Reece Jones and one by Luis Alberto Urrea. If you mean the latter, I would assume the UTNE editorial staff.
No, Tom, I was referring to the illustrator that he has drawn such cover with the parody of the Game of Thrones (Alfred E. Neuman dressed up as Ned Stark).
My bad, thought that was on a different post. The illustrator is Mark Fredrickson, who does most of MAD’s cover work these days.
Thank you Tom , I supposed.
