Bonds

In honor of the 50th anniversary of the first James Bond film, “Dr. No” in 1962, here are small studies of each of the actors to officially (i.e. star in an EON Production) play 007 in the movies: Clockwise from top right: Daniel Craig, Roger Moore, Pierce Brosnan,¬¨‚Ć Sean Connery, Timothy Dalton and George Lazenby.

  1. Jack Myhervold says:

Great studies!. What a shame the Oscar producer’s could not make the onstage Bond reunion happen. I read somewhere that Brosnan was stubborn about it. In your recent “On the drawing board” posting, you mentioned a Mad- five page parody, that was actually a franchise parody. I might be wrong, but I can’t help wondering if there is a connection to these studies.

    • Tom says:

Nope. Sorry. Just been thinking about the 007 films with the 50th and all the press it’s getting.

  2. I like how George Lazenby is at the very top. For some reason that just tickles me.

  3. jailerjoe says:

Were these drawn on Bond paper? Jolly good show!

  4. Excellent proportions of the exaggeration.
