My assignment this issue, “Honey Boo Boo’s Family Circus” was a departure from my usual sort of MAD work. On one hand I really enjoyed doing it because I am good friends with Jeff Keane, who’s been doing “The Family Circus” for about a decade since his dad Bil retired and then passed away in 2010. On the other hand, I had to actually watch “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo”, so that was the downside. I will post a sneak peek of the article tomorrow. In the meantime…
