Sketch o’the Week- Bela Lugosi

October 31st, 2012 | Posted in Sketch O'The Week

In honor of the holiday . . . a horror film classic. Bela Lugosi as Bram Stoker‘s vampire count, Dracula. Pen and marker. Happy Halloween!

  1. Kelly McNutt says:

Holy crap – I love this.

  2. JWB says:

Ah, a true film buff! You didn’t give him fangs. A few years ago a high school buddy asked me to do a caricature of her beau putting together model kits of Karloff as Frankenstein’s monster and Lugosi as Dracula. When I finished she said that I’d left out Bela’s fangs. Told her that he never wore any, but she insisted I add them. Next time I saw the boyfriend he asked why I put fangs on Bela!
On an unrelated note, I got to see Skyfall yesterday. Wow! I know you’re a huge Bond fan, so (as Donna and Tom on TV’s “Parks and Recreation” would say) “Treat yo’ self!” when it opens next Friday!

  3. Shawn Braley says:

Amazing. If you ever put that up for sale, please let me have first dibs!

  4. Istvan says:

Pen and marker? No doubt with a drink or wooden club in the dominant hand.

    Sorry. The very opposite.

I particularly appreciate the shape under the cape.
