MAD About CBS Sunday Morning

October 26th, 2012 | Posted in MAD Magazine

That episode of CBS “Sunday Morning” featuring the segment on MAD Magazine’s 60th anniversary that I may or may not actually be on camera for is going to air this Sunday on . . . ummmm . . . CBS! Check your local listings but here In Minneapolis is is running from 8-9:30 am. Guess I’ll be DVR’ing it!

Does that mean you’ll be sleeping when the Mad segment air’s Tom? NO NO NO! You’ll be awake drawing more black & white art for us while The CBS Morning Show is on in the background,RIGHT! COMON, Mad artist’s don’t sleep!!! lol

I won’t miss it. For some reason, I thought it was LAST Sunday and I was obviously disappointed. Hope they give you some decent air time or at least show your work extensively. And last week I also received the new Mort Drucker book and the 60th Mad Anniversary book. Both are outstanding and brought back a lot of terrific memories. Also some memories of being chastized in grade school in the early 1960s for reading Mad during study hall.

FYI: Today’s Wall Street Journal has a nice story about the Totally MAD anniversary book on page D5 in the ARENA section. Don Steinberg wrote it.
