NBA Illustration Sneak Peek

August 9th, 2012 | Posted in Freelancing

This is just a small sample of a larger poster/publication cover job I did back in May for an NBA related project. Depicted is current NBA czar David Stern. I am not sure I’ll ever get permission to share the entire image. . . it seems to be one of those jobs where once the work is done there are complications with the project and it may never see the light of day. Who knows? Some jobs are like that. If I ever do get the go-ahead to show it here, I will certainly do so.

Tom nice work–cool to see how you handled the backround figures.

  2. Dan says:

Keep showing bits and pieces if possible. Thanks

What a Grizzly turn of events. How dare they be so Cavalier about one of the Kings of illustration? To make your work disappear – poof! – like Magic? I don’t care how many Bucks they paid you! To hell with that Jazz! Bull Nuggets! I’m mad as a Hornet! I am completely Piston!

Tom, simply awesome work. I wish I could see the whole image. I hear you, you put all your love into your baby and you can’t show it off to its full effect. I’ve been there and done that, and it never gets easier, maybe its that artist mentality or something.

    The Mad Art of Caricature.
I have never in all my years seen such a comprehensive detailed book.
    An absolute GEM!!
Well done..it has been a long wait for something so GOOD
