MAD Magazine still “CHEAP!”
I know, I know… with the newsstand price a whopping $4.99 how can MAD Magazine possibly say it’s “CHEAP!”? For those who wonder, here is a public service announcement:
Stop ignoring the roughly two dozen insert cards that rain down from every copy of MAD and cause you to curse as you bend down to scoop them up! A standard subscription is only $19.95, or a CHEAP $1.67 per issue.
Better yet, and the reason for this mid-day post, is that TimeWarner is now offering discounted subscription rates for all their publications, including MAD. This website offers a subcription to MAD for only $12.00. For a limited time of course. That’s only a dollar an issue! MAD hasn’t been that cheap since the Reagan administration. Best of all no crazy cultist kid had to knock on your door with a hard luck story about keeping him off the streets and off drugs by buying his magazines. The only people you keep off the streets by subscribing is the Usual Gang of Idiots… except for John Caldwell but he’s a lost cause anyway.
Sorry for the shameless plug, but I thought a $12.00 yearly subscription offer worthy of mention.

PS – My wife was accosted by one of those little street urchins back in Los Angeles and I’m STILL receiving issues of Automobile Magazine and Popular Mechanics! I hope it at least bought him a couple credits at the local Junior College.
My subscription recently ended and I’ve been busy to renew it. It’s definitely worth it. I’m also anxious to see your new parodies.
Hmmm unfortunately that may not be enough to stop the whingers. They’ll find something else to complain about. I personally think that its a great bargain. The work from the artists and writers is brilliant and I think MAD has been ripping itself off for years. Those film/car/TV/whatever magazines have a review and a photo, and they can charge upto three times MAD’s cost. And concerning that cheap subscribe service, DANG, I subscribed to the MAD website like a week ago. hahaha the luck of it. Keep up the good work 🙂
