Shameless Huckstering Dept.

Please excuse the following exercise in capitalism.

It’s been well over a year now since my big website redesign, and one of the things I thought I’d try out with it was the “Studio Store“. This is where I would be unabashedly pimping my original MAD artwork both to try and pay for the site hosting and possibly a nice dinner or two for myself and The Lovely Anna, or if nothing else to keep the studio flat files from exploding with overflow.

I’ve sold a few pieces but I don’t think I’ll be retiring anytime soon. Many thanks to those who e-mailed me with interest and especially those who purchased some of the work. I hope you thought you got your money’s worth. I doubt it but I hope.

I haven’t added any art recently to the store but last night I added 7 new pieces. There are pages from my parodies of “School of Rock” and “Lara Croft: Tomb Raider” as well as a big slash about NASCAR. There are also two unique pieces. One is a background I did for the MAD 20 piece “the Terry Schiavo Media Circus” showing a dense crowd of media people with clown noses and feet. I remember my hand cramped up inking that thing. I also am offering the entire movie parody of “Behind Enemy Lines”, all four pages, for $300.00 (CHEAP!).

Here’s a peek at a few of the pieces offered. All originals are signed, of course (big deal) and I even throw in a signed copy of the issue of MAD it appeared in. Hoo boy… what a bargain!

I’ve been E-window shopping your studio store for months with the intention of buying something, but I’ve never gotten around to it or felt I needed to spend the money on it at that time. Recently, I decided I’m definitely going to pick something up after the summer when I’m back at my original address.

This is a bonus though and the 300 for the 4 pages is very tempting.

I am VERY happy with the artwork I purchased from you Tom and it is excellent value for money! Let me encourage anyone reading this who is thinking about purchasing a piece of Tom’s artwork, to just do it!
