On the Drawing Board

Looks like the “Little Piranha” Minnesota Twins shirts are a go. There??ᬨ‚Ćwere some interesting issues stemming from the use of the other team logos in the art, but that’s what the Twins wanted and they have to assume liability for the use of an image they both specifically commissioned and purchased the copyrights to.??ᬨ‚ĆSounds like Major League Baseball signed off on it and there may be shirts out by the end of this weekend. Hard to believe they can put something together that fast, but anything is possible. Here are the final art images for the shirt:

Next up: several personal projects plus another poster job, and I finally have approvals to move on with that “Museum of Tort Law” job. Looks like I have to “tone down” Ralph Nader’s ears and nose in the art. Hmmmm, I wonder if he ever saw the one I did of his naked as a “Presidential Survivor” for MAD’s website way back in 2000? Probably not.

The piranhas look great! I want to know how I’ll be able to get one of these shirts.

even though I take offense at the Red Sox being devoured,, the T-shirt design is fricking awesome!!!

  3. Tom says:

Ooops, looks like the Twin’s recent swoon has the press turning the “Pirahnas” into “guppies floating belly up”. This might derail the project. If the Twins can get back to their winning ways this weekend in New York, then we’ll see these shirts get printed. If they don’t and slide int he wild card standings it might not happen at all. We’ll see.

  4. pagmatic says:

so now they want dead guppies???
