MAD #499 Sneak Peek!
This is out “in the wild” on the interwebby and will be in MAD #499:
You have to feel a little sorry for the guy, but how stupid can you be? Doesn’t he have any handlers or advisers around to tell him taking hits off bongs at parties where everyone has a camera in their cell phone is not going to be kept a secret?

when does #499 come out?
Well, that is not easy to say. MAD #499 was delayed by a week to accommodate a certain feature article that couldn’t come out earlier because of the release date of the subject of said article… or something like that. Actual appearance on the stands will still be in February, but I’m guessing the 24th as a news stand date.
I wonder if the real High Times (or whomever) will use this incident as a platform to argue that pot smokers are capable of great achievements, like setting world records in the Olympics. They can say, “This is one of the top anti-performance enhancing drugs, and it got Phelps like, 16 gold medals, man! Whoa.”
I’m looking forward to receiving my second to last traditional issue in the mail. I still can’t get over the idea of seeing MAD appear in my mailbox only 4 times a year. That news was like hearing about an old friend being diagnosed with some life-threatening illness and all you can do is hold your breath and hope for the best.
