Thanks for all you continued help and support, Tom! Everything Tom wrote is true and I have experienced the same sensations as he described. Basically, there is life before the NCN and then there is life afterward. As Tom can attest to, running the convention is a great deal of work but it truly is a labor of love.

So if you missed this year's annual convention, start planning to attend next year's big show during the same time in November. We are also changing our name to reflect our growth overseas. The NCN will become ISCA, The International Society of Caricature Artists. The convention will be taking place at the Kalahari Resort in Sandusky, OH. Speakers and guests to be announced soon! Hope to meet you all in person.

I am totally bummed I couldn't make it. I joined the NCN this year after starting to read your blog and finding out that the convention was in Raleigh, a mere 2 hours away. I was a decent caricaturist in college (my art professors hated and discouraged this) and I wanted a chance to refresh my skills, but alas, I could not get someone to take care of my 3-year old for a week so that I could go. I figure I'm just going to have to wait until my son is in school before I can move forward with my art education. : (
