While attending art college, Tom got a summer job drawing caricatures at a Six Flags theme park near Chicago, Il. He discovered he had a knack for the art form, and it became a prominent part of his focus as an illustrator. In 2011, Tom literally "wrote the book" on drawing caricatures – his tome The Mad Art of Caricature! is currently in its 6th printing.

This gallery contains a selection of caricatures Tom has done for a variety of purposes. Some are full illustrations, while others are just sketches or studies. Some are done digitally, some using traditional media. Tom's love for the art of caricature comes through no matter what medium or reason for the art. He loves drawing faces and capturing not just the features but the personality and essence of the subject – with the occasional editorial commentary.
